Hello, I'm Evvie Walker

I was in raised Tampa, Fla. but, my senior year of high school, I needed a change of scenery, so I decided on Auburn University for my undergraduate degree. Although it was an adjustment, Auburn has become my home away from home and the place where I truly embraced the woman I am meant to be. Over my years at Auburn, and as a public relations major with a minor in political science,I have found that I have a passion for people and politics.

One of my biggest accomplishments is working as a mentor with the Young Women Leaders Program. The skills I developed in this program led me to become an ambassador for the Women’s Resource Center as well as an executive board member for the Auburn University College Democrats. In all of these organizations, I have learned to advocate for those without a voice. It is through my extracurricular involvement that I developed strong leadership skills and collaborative abilities. As an ambassador, mentor and board member I have gained a clearer understanding of who I am and what I am capable of.

I am driven, compassionate and strong. I work tirelessly every day as a mentor, student and individual to make people’s lives better. Next year, I will attend Emory University School of Law. I have been dreaming about attending Emory Law since I was a junior in high school and watching those dreams come to fruition is a surreal experience.

In my free time, I enjoy playing with my Goldendoodle, Oliver, hanging out with my friends, watching documentaries and reading books about feminism. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me and I hope you enjoy my digital resume and portfolio!
